Guards of the Earth and the Vulnerable was formed in 2001,
as a Non-Governmental organization to ensure protection of the environment,
educate the public on proper use of public resources, ensure fairness and
provide advocacy for the vulnerable communities affected by mining in
Asutifi District in Brong Ahafo, Ghana and beyond.
The organization was officially registered with the Registrar Generals Department
(Government of Ghana) on 21st March, 2001.
